The therapeutic use of DOC’S BEST™ Copper Cements is comprised of three basic steps with the final goal being destruction of the biofilm matrix within the dentin tubules of decayed teeth and the continued presence of activated copper ions within dentin tubules to prevent secondary decay.

Very,Very Fast! 1.) COPALITE® Varnish is very antimicrobial and very penetrating. As it evaporates it creates a reliable smear layer, necessary in preventing damage to collagen and other tissues within dentin tubules.

Very Fast 2.) Cement powder is slurried with COPALITE® Varnish and placed in five(5) air dried layers. In this way free copper ions are allowed to penetrate dentin tubules and act directly upon contaminated tissues.

Very Slow 3.) The long term antimocrobial effect of the infinitesimally soluble phosphate cement which allows antimicrobial ions to remain present within dentin tubules
